I am trying to get better at the impulse purchases. I just need to get better at my purchases in general. I have decided to go on a shopping diet which means that I am going to really have to shop my closet. I recently purchased a pair of gingham print pants and I have to say there are not the easiest to style. When I was trying them on I had a million ideas of how to style them and pooof all those ideas are gone. Here are some ideas that I have managed to come up with. How would you style a pair of gingham print pants?
When I first saw Amanda Seyfried in a lace Givenchy Gown at the Golden Globes I fell in love. I mean the dress is amazing. I love everything about it. I was on a quest to find a copy cat and was lucky enough to find one from Asos and on sale no less. Now I know I am a bit late in posting about this dress but honestly I was waiting patiently for a reason to wear it. I cannot wait to wear it again. I got a similar one in pink as well and will definitely be wearing it this spring/summer. Dress: Asos Here or Similar Here. Pink version here. Shoes: Christian Louboutin Similar here or here -Taima Today I am linking up with: I cannot believe that weather has finally decided to cooperate. It is actually feeling like Spring. There were days this week that actually felt like summer. I am soo over the winter so I will take anything right now. Here is to another great week.
A few weeks ago I bought a pair of Floral Pants from H & M similar to ones above and almost returned them. I had a moment where I just stared at them and wondered what I was thinking and how I would even be able to pull them off. Even though I have since worn them twice I am still bouncing around ideas. Here are my thoughts on how I would style them. How would you style Floral Pants? -Taima I ended the week with a long weekend in Atlantic City with the fam. It was a mostly relaxing weekend. Lots of wine, naps and food. My idea of a perfect weekend. Even though I had a great weekend I am even more excited about the weather that is headed our way. We are looking at 70s and even 80s this week. Cannot wait to bring out my peep toes.
Today I am linking up with: My latest obsession is with silver pumps. They seem to be popping up everywhere and I really would like a pair but I have yet to find the perfect pair at the right price. There are so many styles out there and I keep on changing my mind as to what I want. I am gravitating towards a pointy pair of stilettos but I am sure that will change come next week. As of right now I currently have a few pairs of silver shoes in my closet but they do not seem to fulfill the obsession. Here are some styles I have my eye on. -Taima The temps in NYC came close to 60 degrees this past weekend and even though it was still too chilly for sandals I was inspired to take my white J Brands out for a spin. These are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. Not only do I love the fit but I got these at the Barney's Outlet in Florida for less than $30. Not bad for a pair of jeans that retail for close to $200. Also as a side note DH picked this outfit. I think he did a decent job. What do you think? As of right now my calendar is a bit intense so posting may be light towards the end of the month. My goal is to continue to post at least 4 times a week so lets see how that goes.
Let me start by saying that I do love my hair on most days . It can be a lot of work though which is why it often gets pulled back into a bun. So many have asked how do I manage to keep my hair so healthy and the answer is simple. I don't really use that many products in my hair. You will be surprised to know what I actually use so I decided to share it with you all. (1) Shampoo and Conditioner I try not to wash my hair too often because curly hair can get very dry but when I do I use Shampoo and Conditioner from Trader Joe's. Yes you read correctly. Amazon has them for 9.99 a pop but I actually pay 2.99 at the store. Not sure why it is so expensive on Amazon. TiP: I don't always wash out the conditioner. I usually will detangle in the shower using the conditioner and just squeeze out the remaining water and wrap my hair in a towel to soak up the excess water. I then let it air dry so I treat the conditioner like a leave in. (2) Leave In Conditioner I use Dominican Conditioner as my leave in. This product is not intended to be a leave in but when mixed with a little bit of water it is perfect for my thirsty strands. I split my hair into four parts and comb it through. I then let my hair air dry and I am left with what you see in the picture. TIP: This is great for the beach since salt water and sun can really dry your hair out. I usually throw into my beach bag and coat my hair with some conditioner after swimming. Not only does it allow me to get away with half decent beach hair but it keeps my hair from drying out. (3) Curl Refresher In between washes I spritz my hair with a combination of aloe vera juice and coconut oil. I mix equal parts into a spray bottle and spritz away. This is a great way to refresh my curls without having to put any chemicals or rewash it. It doesn't matter the brand as long as it is natural and does not contain any other funky ingredients. So the secret is out. This is my hair routine. It's that simple. Now I have to stop being soo lazy and actually do something other than wrapping it up in a bun. -Taima A couple of weekends ago I went to Palisades Mall with the fam. While DH and company went rope climbing I checked out the new Uniqlo that just opened up. Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of Uniqlo since I stumbled upon it on a trip to Tokyo several years ago. I cannot even tell you how happy I am that they are now in the states. Here is what I picked up from Uniqlo. Of course everything was on sale. Light Pink Skinny Jeans 9.90 Retail Price 19.90 (50% savings) Gingham Print Skinny Leggings 9.90 Retail Price 14.90 (34% Savings). Basic V-Neck T-Shirts ( I got four total) 7.90 each.
