I am guilty of spending a little bit too much money on high end bags and shoes. I am not so much addicted to the name brand as I am to the quality. Sometimes you do actually get what you pay for. So today I decided to take on a challenge. Find a quality leather bag for under $100. I focused my search on brown bags that can be worn now as well as into the fall. Here is what I was able to find.

This entire season I have been seeing sheer everywhere. It is a look that I was a bit afraid to try but finally broke down and embraced it. After giving it a try it is not as "scary" as I thought it was going to be.
We are finally getting a much needed break from 100 degree temperatures that we have been experiencing for the last few months. I was extremely excited this morning when I stepped out to a nice cool fall like morning. Even though it wasn't pouring rain (just yet) I realized that I really need to invest in a pair of rain boots/shoes. I am really looking for something that is a step up from the usual wellies. Here are some options I have my eye on. Which pair would you pick?
Earlier this year I had a chance to spend some time in San Francisco. Although I was there for work I was able to sneak in some sight seeing (and a tiny bit of shopping) on the weekends. It is a great city and although I could never see myself living on the west coast I did enjoy my time there and look forward to going back for fun, not work. :)
Wedges are a girls best friend. They magically give you height and elongate without being brutally painful. Also a low wedge is a great alternative to a flat shoe. It provides much needed support and it better for your posture. Here are some wedges that I have my eye on. I am thinking one of these may be arriving at my doorstep sometime this week.
I HATE PACKING. Most that know me know that I usually wait until the very last minute to pack at which point I start to panic, find the biggest suitcase I own and stuff half my closet into it. And that is just for a weekend trip. In an effort to be more organized I decided to put together a set of packing guides specifically for the summer to help myself as well as my readers spend less time packing and more time enjoying their weekend getaways. Its been extremely hot so everyone is headed to the beach. Here is what I would pack for a weekend getaway to the beach. The secret is to keep everything within the same color palette in order to minimize the amount of pieces you are bringing without sacrificing style. What to Pack: The Outfits (1) Beach Day 1 (2) Drinks by The Pool (3) Dinner and Drinks 1 (4) Beach Day 2 (5) Brunch and Shopping (6) Dinner and Drinks 2 (7) Lunch Date
I really love the colored jeans look. I have managed to acquire a pretty colorful collection but unfortunately it has been way too hot for jeans or even pants . I am thinking it may be time to start working on my colored shorts collection. Here are some shorts I currently have my eye on. I am already starting to think of the outfits I can put together with these shorts.
