I was supposed to run the Corporate Challenge on Thursday night but unfortunately mother nature had other plans so the race was cancelled. Of course I had to drown my sorrows in popeyes. That is what I do when I can't run a 5K. I just eat the most unhealthiest albeit yummiest thing I can find. Check it out. Its an OOTD/OOTN post. Remember those. I took my Pierre Hardy nude heels out for a spin for the first time this weekend. They are actually quite comfy. Can you believe this is only a 5 minute drive from my house. I do not know how I would survive I lived in a landlocked region of the country. I would lose my mind. | Friday night we went out to celebrate DH's BFF's birthday. We went to a place in The Bronx and I actually enjoyed it (shocking for this city girl). I think the sangria helped a bit. I spent all day Saturday at the beach. The weather was amazing and I managed to even get a little sun burn (not sure how that happened). Summer is finally here. |
I am officially counting down the day until I leave the country (6 to be exact). This weekend was a pretty busy and productive weekend. I drank a little bit of Sangria, spent a day at the beach, went shopping and even managed to pack (with DH's help of course). This upcoming weekend is going to be just as jam packed. Hopefully that means I will sleep on my flight.

Can we briefly talk about how I am off to Europe in about two weeks and I am starting to get anxious. I am excited about the trip but I am anxious about the packing. I promise I will work on it this week. This past weekend I took a little road trip with my parents to Atlantic City. The weather was icky on Friday but Saturday and Sunday were amazing and I made the best of it. I also did a little shopping for my trip that I will posting about later.

Last week didn't really start until Friday for me. Once Friday hit it was pretty much non-stop. Friday night we did hibachi followed by the Ride to Montauk on Saturday and shopping on Sunday. I have no idea how I survived work on Monday but as soon as I got home from work I made dinner and fell right to sleep. Now that I have recovered here is how my weekend went. On Saturday DH and I did the Ride to Montauk. Although I had a great time the ride itself nearly almost killed me. I definitely need to train more for the next one.
We spent the weekend in the city so on Sunday while DH went out to do the Brooklyn Bike Tour I opted for some shopping in SoHo with Mom followed by brunch.

Happy Summer. The unofficial start of summer was this past weekend and I had the opportunity to celebrate with some wonderful friends in Cape Cod. Although the weather did not exactly cooperate most days we made the best of it and had a great time. Here are some highlights from my week and weekend. What did you do for Memorial Day Weekend?
Special thanks to Emme, Kati and Lizzy for putting up with me and also taking some of these pics :) -Taima Today I am linking up with:
This was an extremely LAZY week for me. Outside of work I did a whole lot of nothing this week. There was a lot of sleeping, bad eating and no gym. I did get a lot of rest this past weekend though so I am ready to hit the ground running this week. Also have Memorial Weekend to look forward to. That is always a plus. Even though I have some new found energy and plan on posting a bit more this week it is going to be busy work wise so I will try my best. (Glad I enjoyed a lazy rainy weekend in bed). Here is how this past week went.

A lot of people ask me how I manage to have a full time job, go to the gym, cook most of my meals and blog. All this while making it to bed by 11 every night. Oh yeah and I kinda have a social life too. I am not too sure how to answer that but guess what. Life has finally caught up to me which is why I have been a bad blogger lately. I think planning for my summer has pretty much pushed me over the edge. As of Memorial Day Weekend I pretty much have plans for every weekend through mid July. I am pretty sure I am going to spend most of August sleeping. Haha. There is lots to look forward to and although there may be days when I won't be posting I promise I will have lots to share when I get around to it. In the meantime here is how my week went.
-TaimaRemember at the beginning of the year when I said I was going to take a picture a day for 365 days. Well let's just say that went down the drain this week. I totally fell off the radar mid week last week. I did make up for it this weekend. It started off with a lot of wine and ended with the Five Boro Bike Tour.
...And now for the highlight of my weekend. On Sunday morning we woke up at the crack of dawn and find out way to lower manhattan for the Five Boro Bike Tour. This tour is a 42 mile ride through New York City's five Boroughs. It is a traffic free ride which is always a treat and it is a great way to see the city. This was my second time doing the tour and I have to say it was just as amazing as the first one. I am soo excited that I had the opportunity to do it and cannot wait to do it again. This time I did not stop in every borough to take pics but I did manage to get a few shots. Here are some highlights from my day.
-Taima Can you believe that it is almost May. I cannot. Where has this year gone. I am officially now starting to get excited though. The weather has finally started to warm up which means there are lots of great things to look forward. I am counting down the days until I am at the beach.
I cannot even talk about what happened this week. It is almost a blur. I feel like so much happen that it was really hard to keep up. Here are a few snapshots from my week.

I cannot believe that weather has finally decided to cooperate. It is actually feeling like Spring. There were days this week that actually felt like summer. I am soo over the winter so I will take anything right now. Here is to another great week.
