Day 8. I would like to introduce you to Trader Joe's biggest fan. Rubi the cat. I swear he goes nuts when he hears the paper bags.
Day 10. Fried chicken, onion rings and french fries is what I crave after hitting the gym (**and it was all baked so kinda healthy**). I may look like I don't eat but I LOOOVEE food.
Day 12. One of my New Year's Non Resolutions is to shop less so I have been trying to keep myself occupied with some diy. Finally finished working on a cozy for my Nexus.
Day 14. Yes that is DH on the couch watching Honey Boo Boo. This show reminds me of how sheltered I am. I mean is this real. I have never in my life seen something so crazy and I am a Native New Yorker. Wow.
Day 9. I didn't know what to take a picture of so DH was it. He looks sooo happy.
Day 11. Last Friday I went to my first ever Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclay's Center. We had a great time. Let's just say I am considering becoming a Net's fan. EEEEKKK.
Day 13. I have been a fan of Daisy Martinez for several years now. I spent Sunday trying out some of her recipes. Her roasted chicken is awesome. So simple yet so tasty.
I am still going strong with my 365 challenge (take a picture a day for a year). Here is how last week went.
Today I am linking up with:
Every year I give up something for lent. In previous years I have given up everything from facebook to wine. This year I thought it would be a brilliant idea to give up shopping. Now most people will say I am trying to do the impossible and they are probably right. I love to shop. But this is my chance to prove them wrong. So in order to help me get through this shopping fast I will be doing a few things.
(1) Shopping my closet. I have been keeping track of this via instagram. Here is a recap of this weeks outfits.
(2) Crafting. I hope to spend more time on my crochet, jewelry making and sewing within the next few weeks. Here is a sneak peek of some of the projects I am working on.
Hopefully these two things will keep me occupied in this 40 plus day journey of no shopping.
