I got my wish and spent my New Year's Eve in my pj's eating and watching Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve. It doesn't get any better than that. The only thing I missed was not getting dressed up in something fancy. If I did venture out this is what I would have worn. I found this dress on Asos and it reminded me of the this Stella McCartney dress. Shop the Look

Merry Christmas. Last night we celebrated with lots of food and drinks so today I am spending the day laying around in bed and doing a whole lot of nothing. Oh and playing with my newly acquired goodies. I will be sharing them on the blog in the coming weeks. In the meantime I am going to go back to napping and doing absolutely nothing for the rest of the day. Ciao. -TaimaIt's Christmas Eve and although I will spending most of the day cooking and I am excited that it is finally here. This past week has been spent preparing. We were finally able to take a break this weekend. We spent Friday night having beers with the fam and playing Dance Central (great game). On Sunday I did some damage at Woodbury Common. I may or may not have bought 3 pairs of shoes but I will post about my haul later this week. I did find some amazing deals. Time to get back to cooking before I burn something. Happy Holidays. -TaimaWith all the back to back holiday parties I am getting a bit tired of the usual LBD or sequins anything. I decided to change things up a bit by bringing out the otherwise summery Little White Dress and making it a bit more season appropriate with a black blazer and some jewels. By the way you will never guess how much I paid for that necklace. I will be sure to share the details of my jewelry haul later this week. What do you normally wear to holiday parties? -TaimaAfter spending the week down in florida for the Thanksgiving holiday I spent all of last week making up for my time from work. Thanksgiving down in Florida was great. There was a lot of time spent eating, sleeping and shopping. This last week was insane as usual at work so I barely had time for anything but we did manage to pick out a Christmas tree. Let's see when we have time to decorate it. Pretty sure it will happen on Christmas Eve. On a positive note I will be leaving to Mexico in five days for my birthday vacay. Soooo excited. I can't wait. (You would think I was not just in the Sunshine State). It will be nice to just lounge on the beach (margarita in hand) with DH with not a worry in the world. OOOHHH I can't wait. Now time to go and pack. Ciao. -TaimaDressing for Thanksgiving Dinner can be a bit tricky around my parts. I love to dress up. That I cannot deny. I am always accused of being "overdressed". I have come to accept the fact that I will ALWAYS be slightly "overdressed" no matter what the occasion. Thanksgiving is always tricky for me. Part of it is because it starts with massive amounts of food and ends with crazy midnight shopping. That being said trying to come up with something cute, casual, comfy BUT festive is a bit of a challenge. This year I am going more casual with skinny jeans, heels (changing into flats for shopping) and a sparkly top. I think that covers all and is still casual enough that I won't get the looks for showing up to dinner in a party dress. Haha. -Taima |
