With all the back to back holiday parties I am getting a bit tired of the usual LBD or sequins anything. I decided to change things up a bit by bringing out the otherwise summery Little White Dress and making it a bit more season appropriate with a black blazer and some jewels. By the way you will never guess how much I paid for that necklace. I will be sure to share the details of my jewelry haul later this week. 

What do you normally wear to holiday parties? 

I have been a bit obsessed with animal print lately and when I saw this leopard maxi I absolutely had to have it. At first I was a bit unsure as to how I would style it or when I would wear it. DH always accuses me of being overdressed (which I hardly think is a crime) so I was trying to think of ways to dress it down. I decided to just go with it. Who cares if he thinks that I am overdressed. I personally think it is just perfect for a supermarket run or sipping on champagne by the pool.  

Over drinks a few weeks ago with a few friends we got into a pretty intense conversation about wearing white after Labor Day. I was a bit shocked to hear that there are actually a lot of people that strictly follow this "rule". Well I am definitely not one of them. While there are some things that I do not wear after Labor Day (seersucker anything) the idea of waiting 9 months to wear white again is just about dreadful. If done properly white after labor is definitely a "DO" in my book. Especially if you toughen it up with a little bit of leather (huge trend this season).  Do you wear white after labor day?
